Submit an Event
Members can create their own event and add it to the Calendar of Events for members and the public to access.
Your business is listed on the website’s business directory. The directory acts as a one-stop shop for locals seeking info on local business. If you are a current member and you haven’t already – please add your business to our directory. (include logo, website address, pictures and all your social media links.)
Go to our website and select MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT on the top right corner and enter your e-mail address and request a password.
Member News (Press releases) is a great place to update other members on what is happening in your business such as training completed by you or an employee, awards received, merchandise added to your line, new services you are offering, etc. Free with membership, simply e-mail to Heather Holmes at firstname.lastname@example.org
The program provides value to members by:
- Offering a point of sale bonus or discount to members making purchases at participating businesses.
- Building consumer loyalty.
- Fostering connections between members sharing business with each other.
Business After Hours
The Business After Hours is a monthly networking event (usually second Thursday) hosted by a member to showcase their business. Every month members get the opportunity to visit different member businesses and network while enjoying local wines and delectable appetizers also supplied by members. Attend these events to network with other local business professionals in a casual, social and inexpensive way! Don’t forget to bring your business cards and as of January 2019 there is a $10 charge at the door, this includes your drink tickets.
The Board of Trade only refers Board of Trade members. Our business is to refer your business and to connect you to your next customer or business partner. We also encourage fellow members to refer business to each other.
Business Before Hours
The Business Before Hours is a monthly networking event (usually the last Tuesday) held at the Greater Westside Board of Trade at 7:30 – 9:00am. Come and join us and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee. This is an excellent opportunity to visit different member businesses and network.
Keep up to date with the latest events through the Facebook page and website. We are often looking for speakers, sponsors, hosts & more!
Every member is entitled to one complimentary e-blast per year (must be in ‘jpg’ format). Any further e-blasts will be $100.
There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities for events (e.g. Business After Hours) please contact the office.
Lunch & Learn
Do you have key knowledge or a great business skill that would help others within the Greater Westside business community? Contact us about sharing your knowledge over a brief Lunch and Learn, held at the Board of Trade office every 3rd Thursday of the month. February – June 2019 is our Social Media Series.
