25 Jan Kelowna-West By-election
All Candidate Forum Announced
Kelowna: The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Greater Westside Board of Trade, will co-host an all-candidates forum on Wednesday, January 31. The forum will be held in the Westbank Lions Community Centre, at 2466 Main Street, West Kelowna.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m.; the forum begins at 6:30 p.m. and concludes at 8:30 p.m.
Tom Dyas, President of the Kelowna Chamber, says “We are all looking forward to hearing the views of the candidates. We have waited nearly six months for this opportunity to see the Legislature to return to full size, and for Kelowna-West to once have representation. We expect to see a full house on January 31, and to the opportunity to question all the candidates.”
Candidates in the upcoming Kelowna-West by-election will present their platforms, and answer questions within outlined timeframes. Chris Walker, Host of Daybreak South on CBC Radio One will moderate the forum.
Greater Westside Board of Trade Chair, Bobby Gidda said, “As a non-partisan organization, providing an opportunity for the public and Westside businesses to hear from all candidates is one of the Board of Trade’s key values. And working jointly with the Kelowna Chamber to put this event together will signal to the winning candidate that having two Chambers in his or her riding is beneficial.”
